Squeeze Cast Tooling

Squeeze cast and die cast tooling are used to manufacturer precision aluminum components like these automotive instrument panel castings cast from aluminum.Anderson Global designs and engineers squeeze cast die cast tooling for manufacturing of high-strength, high ductility, lightweight structural aluminum and magnesium castings. Retractable and disposable cores are also used to create complex internal features. Our squeeze cast and die cast tooling solutions include tooling for casting precision high performance products such as wheels, brake drums, and suspension components used in automotive and truck manufacturing and performance racing. Our high speed machining and automated EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) capabilities ensure superior die cast tooling performance providing unsurpassed castings with dimensional accuracy, tight tolerances, and smooth finishes.
Die cast tooling produced this automotive transmission cover casting made of aluminum 380 alloy.

About Squeeze Casting

In the squeeze casting process, a precise volume of molten aluminum or magnesium is poured into a heated, closed mold to produce an internal cavity in the shape of the casting. Molten metal is forced into the die cavity. High pressure is applied until the metal solidifies and forms the casting without turbulence and gas entrapment. The press is withdrawn and the casting is released, yielding high quality, dense, heat treatable components.
